Eubank Tutors Having Fun

At the Welcome Reception for International Students and Scholars

Hi Everyone [at CVIP],

I am sending this as a separate message because I don't want you to miss it. Please, please, please if at all possible come to the Welcome Reception for International Students sponsored by the East Lansing Kiwanis Club, OISS and CVIP. We did not donate money but we have promised to exhibit our host/hostessing skills to welcome our international visitors and make them feel that they are an important part of our community (which they are). The reception is Wednesday, October 11 from 4-6PM at the MSU Union Ballroom. Unless you have on campus parking I suggest you park in the city lot and walk across Grand River Avenue. Car pool if you can.

Sparty will be there, the food is great and you can have your picture taken with President Simon. I hope to see all of you there.

Regards,

Dottie Schmidt

President Lou Anna K. Simon welcomes international students and scholars to become engaged with the East Lansing community. "When you start your business, come back to your second home and start one here, too."

"Today I’m calling for a new land-grant revolution, the next bold experiment—the land-grant university for the world. As a great public research university, one of the top 100 in the world, endowed with a difference—the great land-grant spirit, the great land-grant heart—Michigan State University accepts the mantle and the mace of leadership for this revolution. "Like our founders, we stand on the threshold of a future that is not yet clear, a future in which we are at the leading edge of an innovation curve, trying to see around the corner, but always moving forward, focused on our imperatives, and most importantly, determined to continue to make a positive difference in the world."
